The judge in the Britney Spears Guardianship case extended her contract with her temporary custodian until August after deciding that a hearing on the matter could not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, judge Brenda Penny issued an order last week authorizing Spears’ temporary curator Jodi Montgomery to remain under the guardianship of Spears until at least August 22, 2020. The judge extended the proceedings because the courthouses in California are currently closed.Ashley Graham Shows Off Her Post-Partum Body In Workout And Selfie Photos And Videos
Montgomery succeeded Spears’ father Jamie after resigning from his post as Curator of Britney. After Britney’s public merger in 2007, Jamie became her curator and kept her job until September 2019. Jamie asked the court to have someone else take care of her daughter because of her persistent health problems.
Jamie also had an argument with Britney’s eldest son Sean Preston last summer, which led to a restraining order. The incident took place only a few weeks before he applied to the court and asked to be replaced as a curator.
